Feeling Neglected in Childhood is like being Invisible

Feeling Invisible as a Child and Trauma

Childhood Neglect

People are now saying that neglect may be one of the most damaging types of traumas that children can experience.

Growing up feeling invisible. It’s a form of abuse as children do not yet have the ability to properly regulate their emotions. In other words, their brains needs help.

Without any parental nourishing, their psyche protects itself by withdrawing and avoiding reality.

The goal as an adult is to slowly come out of that shell and get your needs met now. The ones that weren’t met back then.

It’s a long process but doing it with others helps. Group therapy with like minded souls builds that part of you that was left behind.

Start now and don’t look back.
