Interesting illustration with a boy and girl both seeming to be lost.
The entire world is grey and out of focus which I imagine reflects their inner perception of it. Where do you go when surrounded by all that? Both so small and helpless really. It’s a “relief” of sorts to see a brightly colored, red tree in the shape of a heart. They at least have each other.
Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better take things as they come along with patience and equanimity. – Carl Jung
